Obituary

Cathy Lynn (McCord) Collins, age 66 and a resident of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly in her home on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 1:34 p.m.

Born on July 19, 1952 in Union City, Indiana, Cathy was the daughter of Alfred and JoAnne (Holden) McCord. She was a graduate of Winchester High School in Winchester and attended Ball State University. She worked at Explorer Van for many years and later worked for R.R. Donnelley.

A caring, selfless person, Cathy was always helping others. She was a true “mamma bear” as she was protective of her family and cared deeply for each of them, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed football and NASCAR, favoring driver Ryan Newman. She was previously a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, where she also worked in the kitchen, and a member of the VFW Auxiliary.

Those who survive Cathy with memories to treasure include two daughters, Rebecca (Joseph) Books, Macy and Christina Reece, Warsaw; son, John Gregory (Amanda) Reece, Macy; two brothers, Norman McCord, Warsaw and Mike (Rebecca Nine) McCord, Warsaw; sister, Donna Swick, Warsaw and mother, JoAnne McCord, Warsaw. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Cathy’s father preceded her in death.

Visitation will be at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw, on Monday, January 7th from 10 a.m. until Noon. Following visitation, Pastor Jerry Creekmore will officiate a funeral service which celebrates Cathy’s life.

Memorial gifts may be directed toward her final expenses at Titus Funeral Home. Condolences may be left online at www.TitusFuneralHome.com

Cathy’s family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of Lutheran EMS Kosciusko who worked diligently to help Cathy on Tuesday.
