Obituary for Gilberto Garcia Jr.
Gilberto Garcia, Jr. age 39 of Warsaw, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 5:55 p.m. after having been involved in a motorcycle accident near Goshen, Indiana.
Born in Chicago on April 3, 1980, Gilberto was the son of Gilberto Garcia, Sr. and Margarita Mendez Garcia. He was mechanically minded, having attended ITT Technical Institute after graduating from high school and was employed by Jayco Manufacturing.
Gilberto was a happy, funny, caring person with a bright personality. He enjoyed fast cars and motorcycles. He was a hard worker, liked to keep busy and loved time spent with his family. He was a faithful friend, a loving brother and a caring father to whom his children meant everything.
Gilberto is survived by his wife of 20 years, Gabriela Perez; his children, Ismael Garcia, Jazmin Garcia and Natalie Garcia – all of Warsaw. He is also survived by nine siblings: Candida Garcia, Bernardo Garcia, Victoria Abarca, Zenaida Garcia, Luz Maria Aleman, Felipe Garcia, Elia Garcia, Andrea Martinez, and Raul Garcia and his parents, Gilberto and Margarita Garcia. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Visitation will be held from Noon to 9 p.m. at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw, on Thursday, May 23, 2019. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Father Fernando Jimenez at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 223 Gillam Drive, Warsaw at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 24, 2019. Committal will be in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery following the service.
